As for AR/VR, yes - that's definitely going somewhere, last time I toyed around with prototypes (Dasault Systems, military sh*), it lacked data, and tooling. With the rise of AI, things should get a bit more useful, in theory

Wikimedia: well, codebase leaves too much to desire, as authoring, not exactly sexy in any way. I end up with disposable editors (stack-edit, vscode, ...) & languages for the editor, and a minimalistic backend as GIT-VFS (no database please) over API. That's disposable as well, but easy to plug anywhere. On top, like with Mediawiki : nothing gets 'lost'

What's missing there: structure, templates, auto-completion, referencing, ... I hope ASCI-Docs fixes all the problems in Markdown - but good enough already, for the next 10 years tho (edited)
