Ensures the newly created category record gives the current user permission to create a new topic and sets her notification level to the default (regular).
After 5fc239b535, the category dropdown
was showing "undefined" for the "all-categories" and "no-categories"
messages. This commit introduces a check to run the HTML parser only if
we're dealing with a real category, which fixes the above issue.
Using arrow functions changes `this` context, which is undesired in tests, e.g. it makes it impossible to setup things like pretender (`this.server`) in `beforeEach` hooks.
Ember guides always use classic functions in examples (e.g. https://guides.emberjs.com/release/testing/test-types/), and that's what it uses in its own test suite, as do various addons and ember apps.
It was also already used in Discourse where `this` was required. Moving forward, it will be needed in more places as we migrate toward ember-cli.
(I might later add a custom rule to eslint-discourse-ember to enforce this)
We remove the slow mode composer message and provide better messages when rejecting new posts and edits. The client now validates if the user tries to post again immediately. Finally, we replaced the `hourglass-end` icon with the `hourglass-start` one.
This reverts commit e3de45359f.
We need to improve out strategy by adding a cache breaker with this change ... some assets on CDNs and clients may have incorrect CORS headers which can cause stuff to break.
When `must_approve_users` is enabled then staff users assume that all
users will have to be approved manually. But in case of invite we
auto-approve users if they are invited by users. This commit adds an
info on the bottom of invite modal informing staff users that new users
will be auto-approved as soon as they accept invite.
This is a way to detect that Discourse isn't able to receive online updates from
the server, and will be used to trigger an UI warning to the user that the session
is working on offline mode.

This is because the translations were being applied when the JS files
were parsed, which is before the overrides are loaded.
The solution is to return the filters in a function which is executed
when they are needed.
In newer Embers jQuery is removed. There is a `find` but it only returns
one element and not a jQuery selector. This patch migrates our code to a
new helper `queryAll` which allows us to remove the global.
Most proxies out there will work with chunked encoding transfer. However
some proxies buffer, causing large delays which in turn force the message
bus client to disable chunked encoding. This wastes a request to the message
bus causing superfluous load on the server.
Also
- enableLongPolling is already default true in the client, no need to set it
- remove confusing comment about zepto
Before deleting a topic that has a high number of views (default of 5000), the user will be prompted with a confirmation popup. This works for all delete buttons on the topic located in: topic-timeline, topic-admin-menu, topic-footer-buttons, and post-menu if the post's ID is 1.
The delete button will be disabled while deletion is in progress, to prevent any unwanted behavior.
A site setting is also available to change the minimum amount of views required to display the confirmation popup.
All kudos are going to @RickyC0626. I only rebased with master and added few qunit tests to ensure that this feature works as expected.

Trying to include this attribute when topic_user is nil causes an error when visiting a topic as anon. Additionally, we don't display the slow mode banner for these users.
Showing this button is confusing for sites which are using external authentication. Clicking 'log in' already pops up the login modal, which includes a forgot password link when appropriate.
This PR introduces a feature that will detect a date inside the post that a user is bookmarking, and offer that date as an option in the bookmark modal.
The logic is that we get the first date/time detected in the post. If it does not have a time, just a date, then we default to 8:00am for the time.
This allows for an advanced feature where hitting control on click or
CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER will lead to a post being made but the browser not to
scroll to the end.
Adding a video in composer and then continuing to type into it will make the
video element flicker and restart playback on every keystroke, as the preview
is rendered. In certain configurations, this can lead to some performance
problems too.
Onebox already does the same for external videos.
This gets us closer to how newer Ember versions want to do things, but
with a bit of Discourse flair.
`acceptance` now takes a function as a parameter, and tests need to be
declared in that new function context.
A new helper, `needs`, is passed as a parameter. You can use it to set
up the test the way you want.
* FIX: Ensure slow mode duration is correctly edited and displayed.
This commit fixes a bug where you were forced to set hours, minutes, and seconds or you won't be able to set the slow mode. Also, the duration was not displayed correctly due to the seconds not being truncated.
Additionally, we'll always display the hours, minutes, and seconds inputs for clarity and remove the blue banner.

Adds a new slow mode for topics that are heating up. Users will have to wait for a period of time before being able to post again.
We store this interval inside the topics table and track the last time a user posted using the last_posted_at datetime in the TopicUser relation.
* The creation of a testing div is specific to Rails, so that is
moved back out of setupTests();
* We've removed the `Discourse` globals from the acceptance helpers in favor of
`setApplication`/`getApplication`.
* We pass the container to setupTests because there is no
`__container__` in later Ember versions.
* `App` is now `app` because it's not a constant or class, it's an
instance of an application.
Dependency on gifsicle, allow_animated_avatars and allow_animated_thumbnails
site settings were all removed. Animated GIF images are still allowed, but
the generated optimized images are no longer animated for those (which were
used for avatars and thumbnails).
The added 'animated' is populated by extracting information using FastImage.
This field was used to selectively reoptimize old animations. This process
happens in the background.
Previous to this change we had no protection to ensure we wait on a request
for more posts prior starting another request.
In outlier cases if 10 people post at the same time on a topic a flood of
requests could start.
To improve this situation we now ensure that we are done asking for new posts
prior to asking for the next batch.
Also addresses some style issues raised previously and moves init to top
of class.

This change amends it so
1. Topic timings are treated as background requests and subject to more
aggressive rate limits.
2. If we notice an error when we ship timings we back off exponentially
The commit allows 405, 429, 500, 501, 502, 503 and 504 errors to be retried.
500+ errors usually happen when self hosters are rebuilding or some other
weird condition.
405 happens when site is in readonly.
429 happens when user is rate limited.
The retry cadence is hardcoded in AJAX_FAILURE_DELAYS, longest delay is
40 seconds, we may consider enlarging it.
After the last delay passes we give up and do not write timings to the
server.

Add the ability to silence or suspend users from the "take action"
button when moderators are flagging posts. This allows for a more streamlined
active moderation workflow, when moderating against a topic directly.

This commit will add the category slug class to the body if the tag is a child of a category.
Currently, when visiting a tag topic list only the tag name is added to the body class.
Per Google, sites are encouraged to upgrade from `analytics.js` to `gtag.js` for Google Analytics tracking. This commit updates core Discourse to use the new `gtag.js` API Google is asking sites to use. This API has feature parity with `analytics.js` but does not use trackers.
When the server gets overloaded and lots of requests start queuing server
will attempt to shed load by returning 429 errors on background requests.
The client can flag a request as background by setting the header:
`Discourse-Background` to `true`
Out-of-the-box we shed load when the queue time goes above 0.5 seconds.
The only request we shed at the moment is the request to load up a new post
when someone posts to a topic.
We can extend this as we go with a more general pattern on the client.
Previous to this change, rate limiting would "break" the post stream which
would make suggested topics vanish and users would have to scroll the page
to see more posts in the topic.
Server needs this protection for cases where tons of clients are navigated
to a topic and a new post is made. This can lead to a self inflicted denial
of service if enough clients are viewing the topic.
Due to the internal security design of Discourse it is hard for a large
number of clients to share a channel where we would pass the full post body
via the message bus.
It also renames (and deprecates) triggerNewPostInStream to triggerNewPostsInStream
This allows us to load a batch of new posts cleanly, so the controller can
keep track of a backlog

We were trying to observe a non-ember object which is undefined
behavior and was leaking to odd bugs. This replaces the `filter` object
with an Ember Object and things seem to work.
I also took the opportunity with this commit to move some test specific
stuff out of `discourse-loader` which is loaded on the front end of the
application. The test module building now happens in the `test_helper`
bundle.
This misses a test because Favcount doesn't exposes a get to the counter.
Also, since this code deals with all possible notifications configs we support:
- favicon notification
- favicon new content
- title notification
- title new content
the code is a bit complicated to follow. We may look into refactoring it when a
good opportunity arises, like if https://w3c.github.io/badging/ setClientBadge() method
gives us a cleaner way to notify users.
We can't use erb in Ember CLI (since it does not have Ruby) so this has
been ported to use our `javascript:update_constants` rake test instead.
Note we don't have to run this every time a notification type as it's
only used by fixtures to fill in some specific types we test against.
This is long overdue. We had a lot of (not linted) code to initialize
our test suite as part of the Ruby `test_helper.js` bundle.
This refactor moves that out to a `setup-tests` module, which imports
all the modules properly, rather than using `require`.
It also removes the global `server` variable which some tests were using
for pretender. Those tests are fixed, and in the case of widget tests,
support for a `pretend()` was added, which mimics our acceptance tests.
One problematic test was removed, which overwrites `/posts` - this could
break tons of other tests depending on order.
The prefixing logic is moved into a `prefixProtocol` function in lib:url.
This commit also renames an incorrectly named test and uses https as default instead of http, in 2020 it's reasonable to think we most likely want https and not http. User can still specify http if required.
This commit is also moving one test to a component test.
A followup to this commit would be to ensure every dropdowns are using a regex instead of the normalize/lowercase system we have now.
These are tricky because `module.exports` is used by nodejs files as a
global, which is OK. But we don't want to allow `module` in JS tests
for qunit without importing it first.
We used many global functions to handle tests when they should be
imported like other libraries in our application. This also gets us
closer to the way Ember CLI prefers our tests to be laid out.

Previously when an admin user changed a user's email we assumed that they would need a password reset too because they likely did not have access to their account. This proved to be incorrect, as there are other reasons a user needs admin to change their email. This PR:
* Changes the admin change email for user flow so the user is sent an email to confirm the change
* We now record who the email change request was requested by
* If the requested by user is admin and not the user we note this in the email sent to the user
* We also make the confirm change email route open to anonymous users, so it can be clicked by the user even if they do not have access to their account. If there is a logged in user we make sure the confirmation matches the current user.
Allows site administrators to pick different fonts for headings in the wizard and in their site settings. Also correctly displays the header logos in wizard previews.
allowEmails used to always be set to true and did not use
can_invite_via_email, which checks for enable_local_logins.
It was a problem because on sites with local logins
disabled users were allowed to enter email addresses, but
received a generic error "error inviting that user".
Prior to this fix, weekly could be 8 days and we could have differences between period chooser text and actual results in the chart.
A good followup to this PR would be to add custom date ranges in period-chooser component.
This is where they should be as far as ember is concerned. Note this is
a huge commit and we should be really careful everything continues to
work properly.
You can now create a file in your plugin/theme in the `api-initializers`
directory which has a simpler template than previous initializers.

When admin changes an email for a user, we were incorrectly sending the password reset email to the user's old address. Also the new email does not come into effect until the reset password process is done, so this PR adds some notes to the admin to make this clearer.

Share links for topics and posts have the current username appended to them when the user is logged in.
If badges are disabled, those added usernames are not beneficial since they're only used to track progress towards certain badges.
This PR makes two change.
1. it moves the logic for the share link url to a centralized helper because it's shared in both topic and post models.
2. it stops username params from being added to share links when badges are disabled.
* FIX: allow editing in composer before a category is selected
If the site setting `allow_uncategorized_topics` is disabled, but no site categories have a topic template, the textarea of the composer should be enabled. This allows for a post body to be entered, however the post/topic should not be successfully created until a category is selected.
If `allow_uncategorized_topics` is disabled *and* one or more categories have a topic template, the textarea of the composer should remain disabled until a category is chosen (so that the body of their post isn’t overwritten by the template).
* Avoid recalculating hasTopicTemplates repeatedly
This replaces an invalid `window.scrollTop` occurrence, left over from a
jQuery refactoring. It should fix an undesirable "shake effect" I have
run into in Safari when navigating to a reply in the post stream.
eslint --fix is capable of fix it automatically for you, ensure prettier is run after eslint as eslint --fix could leave the code in an invalid prettier state.
It didn't provide much value to users as it often didn't match the number visible in the topic timeline. That's because `postNumber` is an implementation detail, while the timeline counts only full visible posts (no whispers, topic action notices, etc.)
typographer can change " to ” leading to breakages in parser
At least codify this. Longer term we want to re-prioritize typographer so
it always runs after bbcode parsing.
Previously attributes such as `[test a='a"a' b="a'a"]` were not correctly
handled.
This amends the regex parser to ensure it correctly parses attributes
without breaking incorrectly on the first nested quote
We don't delegate `mouseMove` so this code has not been called in a long
time. It also seems that `screenX`/`screenY`/`lastX`/`lastY` was never
used so they were removed too.
Before this patch, discourse-markdown depended on the modules in its
bundle being defined in a specific order or it wouldn't load properly.
Now, any file in the bundle can export a `priority` const (default 0)
and files will be loaded in order of ascending priority instead. This
allows us to use a bundle packaged in any order we want.
To check if a post contains any embedded media, we look if the "image_sizes" attribute is present in the new post manager arguments.
We want to see one boxed links, but we only store the raw content of the post. To work around this, I extracted the onebox logic from the composer editor into a module.
This commit also:
- deprecate an old way of using actions for future removal
- removes all the hidden/block/... logic, as we just rely on parent being displayed or not
* FEATURE: Diffrentiate between group + individual mentions
This commit adds the necessary code for Discorse core to differentiate between group + individual mentions in the notification user panel and notification page.
It changes the group mention icon from `at` to `users` as well as adds context as to which group was mentioned in the topic.
The current situation could cause a transition on the button to end after/during modal has shown and causing the button to get focus again. Browsers would then refuse to switch focus.
This is a kinda convulted solution, but it's a general purpose solution which doesn't involve changing anything in plugins/themes or core templates.
* REFACTOR: reworks all the search-advanced-options panel
This commit includes the following changes:
- prevents any mutation of external (to the component) values
- get rid of observers
- uses @action
- minor UI tweaks
- dropped the unecessary debounce
- drops all the legacy code for badges/groups which is not being used
- replaces user-selector by user-chooser and improves multi-select to not show `search` if maximum has been reached
Most importantly this refactor should fix multiple bugs due to _update() being called multiple times if searchTerm was empty and other various bugs where some changes in searchTerm was not applied to the sidebar.
This PR removes the user reminder topic timers, because that system has been supplanted and improved by bookmark reminders. The option is removed from the UI and all existing user reminder topic timers are migrated to bookmark reminders.
Migration does this:
* Get all topic_timers with status_type 5 (reminders)
* Gets all bookmarks where the user ID and topic ID match
* Loops through the found topic timers
* If there is no bookmark for the OP of the topic, then we just create a bookmark with a reminder
* If there is a bookmark for the OP of the topic and it does **not** have a reminder set, then just
update it with the topic timer reminder
* If there is a bookmark for the OP of the topic with a reminder then just discard the topic timer
* Cancels all outstanding user reminder topic timers
* **Trashes (not deletes) all user reminder topic timers**
Notes:
* For now I have left the user reminder topic timer job class in place; this is so the jobs can be cancelled in the migration. It and the specs will be deleted in the next PR.
* At a later date I will write a migration to delete all trashed user topic timers. They are not deleted here in case there are data issues and they need to be recovered.
* A future PR will change the UI of the topic timer modal to make it look more like the bookmark modal.

Before this commit, onShow code could be impacted by code happening after the onShow call. This should ensure this code works for example:

This moves the logic for horizontally placing the topic progress wrapper from the JS component to SCSS. Doing so means it is more easily overridable by themes and plugins.
This also changes the left/right spacing from 1em to 2em for non-mobile screens (it fits better on iPad portrait especially).
Admins can currently add the bookmarks discovery route link
to the homepage interface, but users can't presently select
that as their default home view. This change facilitates that,
adding the option to the existing Default Home Page dropdown on
the User Preferences Interface page.
Incorrect search filters like `in:personalasd` will end up checking the
checkbox for `in:personal` because the regexp used was only doing prefix
matching.
When a category is removed from `auto_watch_category` we are removing
CategoryUser. However, there are still TopicUser with notification level
set to `watching` which was inherited from Category.
We should move them back to `regular` unless they were modified by a user.
This helps us out in a few ways:
1. It lessens our reliance on jQuery
2. It's slightly less code because it omits options we don't use
3. It is one less library to import and put into ES6 modules
didRender will be called each time the widget is rendered
willRerender will be called the second time a widget is rendered to give an opportunity to clean some state before the tree is replaced

This indication covers all cases of network errors, not just "cancelled by user".
The post upload component already has its own handling for user-cancelled uploads, but the generic upload component does not.
Tested by stopping my localhost server right before attempting to upload a file.
The emoji-picker is a specific piece of code as it has very strong performance requirements which are almost not found anywhere else in the app, as a result it was using various hacks to make it work decently even on old browsers.
Following our drop of Internet Explorer, and various new features in Ember and recent browsers we can now take advantage of this to reduce the amount of code needed, this rewrite most importantly does the following:
- use loading="lazy" preventing the full list of emojis to be loaded on opening
- uses InterserctionObserver to find the active section
- limits the use of native event listentes only for hover/click emojis (for performance reason we track click on the whole emoji area and delegate events), everything else is using ember events
- uses popper to position the emoji picker
- no jquery code
- Add a metadata-row class
- Remove wrapper tags from user-card-after-metadata and user-card-before-badges outlets
- Correct max-height for mobile card
Renamed from `private_messages` to `personal_messages` without
deprecation because the `private_messages` advanced search filter never
worked in the first place when it was implemented.

When typing in the composer we are sending a lot of unnecessary load() requests for the video/audio elements. This line was added months ago before we improved previewing/video thumbnails, which have improved things, so it is no longer required. After removing this line everything still works and no more additional requests are sent.

When deleting all bookmarks in their list, users were seeing an "access denied" message instead of the regular no content message. This is because when we were calling loadMore and no further results were returned, we were presuming the null response from the resolved promise meant that there was a permissions error. Fixed this and moved the message into a computed property to show the correct message.
Like "default watching" and "default tracking" categories option now the "regular" categories support is added. It will be useful for sites that are muted by default. The user option will be displayed only if `mute_all_categories_by_default` site setting is enabled.
Enabling the moderators_manage_categories_and_groups site setting will allow moderator users to create/manage groups.

Themes can now declare custom colors that get compiled in core's color definitions stylesheet, thus allowing themes to better support dark/light color schemes.
For example, if you need your theme to use tertiary for an element in a light color scheme and quaternary in a dark scheme, you can add the following SCSS to your theme's `color_definitions.scss` file:

And then use the `--mytheme-tertiary-or-quaternary` variable as the color property of that element. You can also use this file to add color variables that use SCSS color transformation functions (lighten, darken, saturate, etc.) without compromising your theme's compatibility with different color schemes.
It turns out that `setupController` doesn't always wait when returning a
promise, but the `model` hook does. This fixes issues with the
`page:changed` event firing before the transition has complete.
Moving the bookmark list into its own component to solve click binding issues for external links, because controllers are not the place for DOM manipulation!
This improves the reloading workaround in a few ways:
- Multiple videos in posts are now reloaded. Previously only the first was reloaded.
- An empty `poster` string is treated the same as a missing attribute
- If the video is set to autoplay, it will be reloaded (and therefore autoplayed correctly)
Carry over the regime used in the Login modal to Create Account to
facilitate overriding of the classes set for the d-modal Component
using a new Computed Property having the same naming convention.
Fixes a bug in `controllers/insert-hyperlink` where `addEventListener` was called with different (anonymous) functions than the matching `removeEventListener` calls.
For sites that are configured to mute some or all categories and tags
for users by default, groups can now be configured to set members'
notification level to normal from the group manage UI.
If there's already a `LockOn` instance, clear its lock before creating creating a new one. Fixes a shaky viewport effect after certain transitions.

When visiting a permalink with an anchor (e.g. /important-link#notes) the anchor part was being dropped during redirection.
The change doesn't have a test. Functions like scrollToPost or scrollToElement don't have any effect in the test environment.
Mostly de-jQuery-ification. This refactor tries to closely preserve the original behavior.
Changes:
* Store the interval inside the class (allows using `clearLock()` on `LockOn` objects)
* Extract the interval function to a separate method

The controller method `_changeFilters` is now changed to `changeFilters` in the commit 1fc58b5a4e. But it was not modified in the `admin-tools` service script.
We trigger `/topics/timings` requests without ever caring about the
promise afterwards, so they can bleed from one test to another.
If you're very unlucky, this might happen and then the next test
is testing a subfolder, which means you end up with a path like
`/forum/topics/timings` which is not caught by pretender and causes the
suite to fail.
It's easier (and faster) to never send these requests in test mode
than to track the ajax requests and abort them between runs.
Legacy Firefox Android has some quirks around vibration where it:
- asks for permission
- doesn't persist the permission
This makes the default like vibration popup a permission on Firefox
Android <= 68.
This isn't the case (yet?) on their new Firefox which is rolling out
worldwide right now.
I'd say we merge this now and revert in 3 months or so when
https://arewefenixyet.com/ shows a full rollout.
When a tab is open but left unattended for a while, the red, green, and blue
pills tend to go out of sync.
So whevener we open the notifications menu, we sync up the notification count
(eg. blue and green pills) with the server.
However, the reviewable count (eg. the red pill) is not a notification and
is located in the hamburger menu. This commit adds a new route on the server
side to retrieve the reviewable count for the current user and a ping
(refreshReviewableCount) from the client side to sync the reviewable count
whenever they open the hamburger menu.
REFACTOR: I also refactored the hamburger-menu widget code to prevent repetitive uses
of "this.".
PERF: I improved the performance of the 'notify_reviewable' job by doing only 1 query
to the database to retrieve all the pending reviewables and then tallying based on the
various rights.
This hack is only attempting to hide something which should have been working in core and for which we should provide a fix soon. Also it's not working as it should.
When inviting users to a PM a small post is created showing that you
invited the user, but the actual list of participants never updated
until you refreshed the page or interacted with the private-message-map
widget triggering it to refresh. This change will trigger a refresh on
the private-message-map widget ensuring that the UI is updated with the
current list of participants.
* FEATURE: set notification levels when added to a group
This feature allows admins and group owners to define default
category and tag tracking levels that will be applied to user
preferences automatically at the time when users are added to the
group. Users are free to change those preferences afterwards.
When removed from a group, the user's notification preferences aren't
changed.
The poll breakdown modal replaces the grouped pie charts feature.

Previously modal-tab component would call on click the onSelectPanel callback with itself (modal-tab) as `this` which severely limited its usefulness. Now showModal binds the callback to its controller.

This stops sync of tracking state when list is filtered, in the past this
would cause the tracking state to go off wack.
Additionally this introduces an alias for "filter=tracking", called "f=tracking"
This was done cause the term "filter" is used internally in 2 different ways
the main way is for /unread /new filtering.
Trying to also call a query param "filter" causes enormous amounts of
internal pain, this circumvents the issue.
Searching for a specific setting only showed results from the current selected category. Before fixing fd02856, it automatically redirected the user to all_results. This was a problem because the redirect always happened and there was no way to share a link to a specific category.
The fix to this bug is to simply redirect the user to all_results if there are no results to be displayed.
We had a handful of methods attached to the root `Discourse` object
related to focus and notification counts.
This patch pulls them out into a service called `document-title` for
updating the title, and a component called `d-document` to attach
and listen for browser events related to focus.
It also removes some computed properties and observers in favor of plain
old Javascript objects.
`topicTrackingState.forEachTracked(topic,isNew,isUnread)` can be used to
iterate through tracking state efficiently.
This is handy for extension looking at subsets of tags and categories.
Uses a thin border as indicator that element is in focus for all editable items in the composer (inputs, select kit, textarea).
Disables a default iOS style that has a blinking background color on inputs/textareas
After visiting a topic list (by tag / category / top level) we track the list
Once a list is tracked the combo `g` `j` can be used to go to the next topic
in the list and `g` `k` to go to previous topic.
This allows you to quickly work through subsets of topics without having
to navigate back to the top level lists
The shortcut does not work in PM lists yet, or search results, both are
under consideration.
This `description` field on a theme is returned from the server side and
needn't be calculated in the front end. I tested in the UX and seems to
work well.
(This change could be considered a little risky so we should keep an eye
on it.)
The core issue here is that sometimes as far as the router was concerned
we had transitioned to a route even if a Topic model was still in the
process of loading. In this case the callback could not retrieve the
correct title yet because it had not loaded.
This fix returns a promise from `setupController` when visiting a topic,
which will have the router block until the topic is loaded. This means
that the transition never triggers until the topic title is present.
Note: adding a test for this is basically impossible - it was super hard
to reproduce even in a browser.
This code was intended to bypass iterating through tags in absence of a new
or unread topic.
Instead it always fired cause it was checking for function existence which
was clearly always true.
This involves a little refactoring of how our `defaultHomepage()` works.
It previously would check the meta tag / site settings each time it was
called but now it only checks once on application boot.
Since `Discourse.SiteSettings` is removed, helpers can now include and
call `helperContext().siteSettings` to get access to the settings
without using a global variable.
This fixes an issue where sometimes when composing a post and uploading a video/audio file, _loadCachedShortUrls/the uploads controller would return a full URL with origin, instead of just the URL with the host e.g. http://localhost:3000/some/video.mp4 instead of just //localhost:3000/some/video.mp4. We were prepending window.location.origin onto the URL no matter what, and since http://localhost:3000/some/video.mp4 does not match the host URL regex, we were ending up with something like http://localhost:3000http://localhost:3000/some/video.mp4 which broke composer previews. This was only noticed with a video upload in a secure upload environment.
This adds an option to "delete on owner reply" to bookmarks. If you select this option in the modal, then reply to the topic the bookmark is in, the bookmark will be deleted on reply.
This PR also changes the checkboxes for these additional bookmark options to an Integer column in the DB with a combobox to select the option you want.
The use cases are:
* Sometimes I will bookmark the topics to read it later. In this case we definitely don’t need to keep the bookmark after I replied to it.
* Sometimes I will read the topic in mobile and I will prefer to reply in PC later. Or I may have to do some research before reply. So I will bookmark it for reply later.
* FEATURE: Allow List for PMs
This feature adds a new user setting that is disabled by default that
allows them to specify a list of users that are allowed to send them
private messages. This way they don't have to maintain a large list of
users they don't want to here from and instead just list the people they
know they do want. Staff will still always be able to send messages to
the user.

Now that 36bad0c31f is in and we have video previews on all platforms, the commit that's being reverted is no longer needed. Syntax highlighting is a CPU-intensive process which we run a lot while rendering posts and while using the composer preview. Moving it to a background worker releases the main thread to the browser, which makes the UX much smoother.
Currently in composer preview, if the image scale buttons are inside a `<a>` link then it redirects to the `href` location after the image scaling task.
* Do not autofocus name input on mobile
* Improve code for formatted reminder type times to not be computed, so the modal times update correctly
* Change wording of "Next Monday" to "Monday" for all days except when today is Monday
Category and tag hashtags used to be handled differently even though
most of the code was very similar. This design was the root cause of
multiple issues related to hashtags.
This commit reduces the number of requests (just one and debounced
better), removes the use of CSS classes which marked resolved hashtags,
simplifies a lot of the code as there is a single source of truth and
previous race condition fixes are now useless.
It also includes a very minor security fix which let unauthorized users
to guess hidden tags.
When creating a bookmark reminder that deletes the bookmark on reminder, if the user clicked on the notification and got taken to the post in the topic the bookmark icon still showed as blue with the reminder clock indicator. This was because the response JSON for reloading a topic post was not including the bookmark attributes, not even the bookmarked boolean.
We now return the correct attributes in the serializer, and if bookmarked is false we clear all the bookmark related attributes on the post for the notification to make sure nothing of the old bookmark remains in the UI.
This was only a problem if the user did not refresh the app completely inbetween setting the reminder and receiving the notification.
We have a couple of examples of enormous amounts of text being entered in the name column of bookmarks. This is not desirable...it is just meant to be a short note / reminder of why you bookmarked this.
This PR caps the column at 100 characters and truncates existing names in the database to 100 characters.
Before this change:
- first full page load would get category defaults defined un cateory settings
- a navigation to a topic and then back to categories list would reset defaut to the ones defined in discovery/topics

Previously, basic-topic-list had its own implementation of topic-list-item on mobile, which made it more difficult to maintain and extend. The visible difference was that the basic-topic-list implementation had no large avatar on the left. This commit adds a new hideMobileAvatar parameter to topic-list-item and topic-list, and sets it to `true` for the basic-topic-list component.
08044b4f regressed emoji auto complete logic since we (I) forgot to add the
space into the not capturing group at the beginning.
This meant that
`hello 👍t` would not trigger an autocomplete to pick skin tone.
Previously we were using `$elem.find(...).not($elem.find(...))`. This took approximately 2ms on my machine with a test post.
This commit switches to using a native querySelectorAll method, which takes less than 0.5ms on the same test post.
This code runs on every keyup event in the application, so it needs to be efficient. Previously we were iterating over the whole document using the JQuery :visible selector. Per the JQuery docs at https://api.jquery.com/visible-selector/
> Using this selector heavily can have performance implications, as it may force the browser to re-render the page before it can determine visibility. Tracking the visibility of elements via other methods, using a class for example, can provide better performance.
We already had a `hidden` class on the modal element which we can check, so we can check that instead.
autocomplete resolving to [] was causing it to stop working.
Instead we have a special const (SKIP) which ensures it will
continue to be evaluated and only this instance is skipped.
The admin permalink list was a little tricky to use because the URLs are easily reduced with a ... if they are too long. This adds a copy to clipboard button for the URL and a title on hover so the full text of the URL can be seen.
* FEATURE: Don't display muted/ignored users under "who liked"
Previously, if you clicked on the heart icon below a post
it would show you the avatar for a user even if you ignored or muted
them.
This commit will instead display a (?) icon. The count of likes will
remain correct, but you needn't be reminded of the person you
preferred not to see.

* The first post was showing as bookmarked incorrectly after pressing f to open the topic modal then pressing escape to cancel without saving, because the closeWithoutSaving option was not being respected.

It's a stop gap – ideally we would generate a thumbnail for uploaded videos. For now, a bit of intentionality in the style and a pinch of context should do.
Fixes a bug in search-menu-results (type: "group"), where:

`groupNames` could end up having value "undefined" if a group doesn't have a `fullName`.
showPreview is necessary because we need to add 50% width class similar to: class="title-and-category with-preview" on the category and title div if the preview is shown.
There are two problems I'm trying to tackle here.
1. The site json is cached for anonymous users so readonly mode can be
cached for up to 30 minutes which makes it confusing.
2. We've already checked for readonly mode in the controller so having
to check for readonly mode again in `SiteSerializer` is adding an extra
Redis query on every request.
If cooked is unchanged, ember will not re-render the preview area, so we should not re-run the post-processing decorators. This can cause issues when decorateCooked functions are not idempotent.
Users with TL below the "min trust to create topic" setting used to see a prompt to create new topics in the footer message below the topic list. Those topics would never be submitted because those users don't meet the TL requirements to create a new topic (based on that site setting). This PR removes that prompt for those users.
The user-card-additional-controls outlet is outside the `<li>` element, which makes styling difficult. Placing an outlet inside the button list means that themes/plugins can easily reuse core styling.
Previous to this fix the we were checking for non letters.
This was mismatching what pretty-text/addon/emoji.js was doing.

Would lead to an emoji autocomplete popup in the composer.
Safari uses an aggressive back/forward cache, which means the app loads
very quickly when hitting Back. But, in topics with > 30 posts, hitting
Back runs post stream calculations too early, which means that users
get taken back to an earlier point in the stream, consistently.
Using `onpageshow`, we can restore the correct location before the post
stream calculations take place.
- This function now requires an explicit scope. It will never run on the entire document.
- Previously debounce was being used with an anonymous function, which means it was having no effect.
An empty string is a falsey value in javascript, so we were looking for the meta tag every time getURL was called, which took approximately 1.5ms every time.
Behavior was changed in #9966, which made the URL be relative.
If the user landed in a topic, for example, the browser was given a
service worker URL under that specific topic URL, which was a 404.

it.
This cancels debounce save and waits for save in the pipeline to
be over prior to firing off a DELETE on the draft
cancelComposer would leak a promise that never got resolved if
you aborted cancelling a composer.
This change ensured the promise will always be resolved

Previously if saving a draft took longer than 2 seconds there
could be conditions where drafts could be saved concurrently.
This meant the composer could race with itself and raise conflicts.
This is likely to happen on bad internet connections or where
latency is really high.
Additionally a throttle was added so drafts save unconditionally
every 15 seconds.
Save draft in the model now properly and consistently returns a
promise.
Unlike other browsers, Safari maintains focus on elements even when
they are hidden. And since the composer is fixed-positioned when hidden,
closing the composer on a topic with several replies causes Safari to
scroll the window up.
Deliberately blurring the focused element fixes the issue.

Adds a new rake task to auto generate a constants.js file with the
constants present. This makes migrating to Ember CLI easier, but also
slightly speeds up asset compilation by having to do less work.
If the constants change you need to run:
`rake javascripts:update_constants`
There were two constants here, `INLINE_ONEBOX_LOADING_CSS_CLASS` and
`INLINE_ONEBOX_CSS_CLASS` that were both longer than the strings they
were DRYing up: `inline-onebox-loading` and `inline-onebox`
I normally appreciate constants, but in this case it meant that we had
a lot of JS imports resulting in many more lines of code (and CPU cycles
spent figuring them out.)
It also meant we had an `.erb` file and had to invoke Ruby to create the
JS file, which meant the app was harder to port to Ember CLI.
I removed the constants. It's less DRY but faster and simpler, and
arguably the loss of DRYness is not significant as you can still search
for the `inline-onebox-loading` and `inline-onebox` strings easily if
you are refactoring.
We now show an options gear icon next to the bookmark name.
When expanded we show the "delete bookmark when reminder sent" option. The value of this checkbox is saved in local storage for the user.
If this is ticked, when a reminder is sent for the bookmark the bookmark itself is deleted. This is so people can use the reminder functionality by itself.
Also remove the blue alert reminder section from the "Edit Bookmark" modal as it just added clutter, because the user can already see they had a reminder set:

Followup to 999e2ff5
Switching between the topic timeline and the progress bar was buggy when
resizing the composer. The root of the problem is that we can't know
the height of the timeline once it's hidden from view.
This uses a magic number for the calucation, which in this case is
necessary. Additionally, the calculation now takes place when
the resizing of the composer ends (previously, it was triggered when
dragging was started, which caused issues when resizing slowly).
- reduces the API to 3 actions for now: appendContent/prependContent/onChange
- well tested
- removes all previous APIS which were only half supported or too dangerous as they could collide with other plugins or core behaviors
- this plugins also puts every sk test helpers in one file
We were sharing `Discourse` both as an application object and a
namespace which complicated things for Ember CLI. This patch
moves raw templates into `__DISCOURSE_RAW_TEMPLATES` and adds
a couple helper methods to create/remove them.
This introduces new APIs for obtaining optimized thumbnails for topics. There are a few building blocks required for this:
- Introduces new `image_upload_id` columns on the `posts` and `topics` table. This replaces the old `image_url` column, which means that thumbnails are now restricted to uploads. Hotlinked thumbnails are no longer possible. In normal use (with pull_hotlinked_images enabled), this has no noticeable impact
- A migration attempts to match existing urls to upload records. If a match cannot be found then the posts will be queued for rebake
- Optimized thumbnails are generated during post_process_cooked. If thumbnails are missing when serializing a topic list, then a sidekiq job is queued
- Topic lists and topics now include a `thumbnails` key, which includes all the available images:

If the user chooses "Later Today" as the reminder for a bookmark, then edits that bookmark, we should pre-select "Later Today" if that time has not changed (e.g. later is still 6pm). We do this to avoid confusion instead of opening the custom date + time section.

This is to help with the migration to Ember CLI. In the current running
version of Discourse everything should be the same as before, just with
a few extra files that are not used. However, using Ember CLI this can
be installed as an Ember addon.

* Bookmarks with reminders is a core feature now, no need to have a separate URL
* Keep around the old /u/:username/activity/bookmarks-with-reminders route for backwards compat in Ember but just redirect to user activity bookmarks.
For clarity and to save space remove the timezone in brackets e.g. (EDT) from the user card. Also add a title to the user time span to say it is Local Time.
* After this change the bookmark will still be saved if clicking out of the modal or pressing escape
* To achieve this I implemented an initiatedBy parameter for modal closing from d-modal. If clicking on the cross it is initiated by close, if clicking out of the modal it is by click out.
* These options can then be compared in controllers consuming onClose

This will allow to post a link to published page in a post. Before this, users clicking this link would have seen a 404.
ATM /pub is server sider only.
We weren't using this very much and introduces a dependency between
discourse-common and discourse which makes moving to yarn workspaces
more difficult.
In the future we might user ember-addons properly but for now it's
easier to move the code into discourse-common.
Note the old folder is still there because at least one plugin was still
requiring the old files. It will be removed in the future.
The local time was not updating between user cards because the computed property was not used correctly.
There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once computed properties, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.
This commit reworks slightly the `toggleBookmark` and `toggleBookmarkTopic` functions.
- Pressing [f] (toggleBookmarkTopic)
- a topic list item is selected, we attempt to toggle the related topic
- a post is selected, we bookmark the current topic
- nothing is selected, if there's a currentTopic we bookmark it
- Pressing [b] (toggleBookmark)

Note this, commit also reduces jquery usage, a bug where the [f] shortcut was propagated to the modal input, and fixes bug when bookmarking a topic list item on the front page and the firstPost couldn't be found.
This adds a site setting (default off) to optionally show a user's local time and timezone in their user card. For example, I live in Brisbane, and if at 3:30PM my time I were to open a user who lives in California's card I would see 22:30 (PST).
FEATURE: dismiss first notification on click anywhere
Quicker jumpstart for those already familiar with the platform:
Allow dismissal of first notification mask from any click.
On the dismissal click, we also need to send a "yes I saw it" confirmation
by grabbing a batch of notifications. This prevents the dialog from appearing
again on refresh, or other browsers and ensures we only see it once.
This is a replacement for `decorateCooked` which will work without jquery.
A backwards compatibility layer is provided for existing plugins/themes which are currently using `decorateCooked`
In order to be able to use ember-cli we need to fix the import
statements for `TextField` and `TextArea` in the code base.
The only change I don't fully understand is the one in
`discourse-loader.js`, but adding the components to that file make it
all work.
This means that decorateCooked can be used to modify HTML without triggering the download of remote resources (e.g. images)
In some rare cases (e.g. IntersectionObservers in Chromium), decorating needs to happen in the real DOM. For this, pass `afterAdopt: true` to `decorateCooked`
This reverts commit fa96054acf.
Sadly this fails a test case, we may have to hunt up all the
parentElements to check for the cooked class to perform the
bypass
onSelectionChanged fires a debounced event that calls window.getSelection()
window.getSelection() is reasonably expensive. There is no reason to do any
of this work if we have an input field focused, that is not how quote works
* FEATURE: don't display new/unread notification for muted topics
Currently, even if user mute topic, when a new reply to that topic arrives, the user will get "See 1 new or updated topic" message. After clicking on that link, nothing is visible (because the topic is muted)
To solve that problem, we will send background message to all users who recently muted that topic that update is coming and they can ignore the next message about that topic.
The main thrust of this PR is to take all the conditional checks based on the `enable_bookmarks_with_reminders` away and only keep the code from the `true` path, making bookmarks with reminders the core bookmarks feature. There is also a migration to create `Bookmark` records out of `PostAction` bookmarks for a site.
### Summary
* Remove logic based on whether enable_bookmarks_with_reminders is true. This site setting is now obsolete, the old bookmark functionality is being removed. Retain the setting and set the value to `true` in a migration.
* Use the code from the rake task to create a database migration that creates bookmarks from post actions.
* Change the bookmark report to read from the new table.
* Get rid of old endpoints for bookmarks
* Link to the new bookmarks list from the user summary page
Safari starts loading images as soon as attributes are modified. Modern browsers all prefer the srcset attribute over src, so we should remove srcset last, and add it first.
Currently, when category or tag is muted, only after hard refresh, these new muted categories are really muted. Without a hard refresh, you will still receive "new topic" messages.
Therefore, when tag or category is muted, we should update the user object right away.
It was removed altogether from ApplicationRoute, which only triggered
an `activate` event which never seems to be used.
We can replace it with Evented which is still present.
There is now an explicit "Delete Bookmark" button in the edit modal. A confirmation is shown before deleting.
Along with this, when the bookmarked post icon is clicked the modal is now shown instead of just deleting the bookmark. Also, the "Delete Bookmark" button from the user bookmark list now confirms the action.
Add a `d d` shortcut in the modal to delete the bookmark.
This change broke IE11 support, even with the polyfills enabled. We may need to add a WeakSet polyfill, but reverting this change for now.

Users can now edit the bookmark name and reminder time from their list of bookmarks.
We use "Custom" for the date and time in the modal because if the user set a reminder for "tomorrow" then edit the reminder "tomorrow", the definition of what "tomorrow" is has changed.

If the feature is enabled, staff members can construct a URL and publish a
topic for others to browse without the regular Discourse chrome.
This is useful if you want to use Discourse like a CMS and publish
topics as articles, which can then be embedded into other systems.

In order to avoid a boatload of attributeBindings, I moved the root
element of the suggested-topics component into the template. Also,
autoformat their hbs files.

Additionally, flag modals with aria-modal=true to avoid the screenreader
accidentally escaping the modal. There's no need to ever toggle the

* `addBindings` - Adds the array of keyboard shortcut bindings and calls the provided callback when a binding is fired with Mousetrap.
* `unbind` - Takes an object literal of a binding map and unbinds all of them e.g. `{ enter: { handler: saveAndClose" } };`
A large topic page will always have the bottom tracking button, and will also have the timeline, meaning we already had 2 tracking events.
But it gets even worse when you know that the timeline button is a component connector which will trigger `didInsertElement` very frequently, meaning we were constantly adding more and more appEvents handlers.

Previously we would load admin staff action logs unconditionally as soon
as the controller was instantiated, this is not desirable we only want to
run the query when you visit the route.

Previously we relied on race conditions to correctly open a draft, so this
broke.
New code is deliberate.

Introduce the concept of "high priority notifications" which include PM and bookmark reminder notifications. Now bookmark reminder notifications act in the same way as PM notifications (float to top of recent list, show in the green bubble) and most instances of unread_private_messages in the UI have been replaced with unread_high_priority_notifications.
The user email digest is changed to just have a section about unread high priority notifications, the unread PM section has been removed.
A high_priority boolean column has been added to the Notification table and relevant indices added to account for it.
unread_private_messages has been kept on the User model purely for backwards compat, but now just returns unread_high_priority_notifications count so this may cause some inconsistencies in the UI.
When editing a post we were incorrectly saving a draft prior to user typing
This caused a bloat in the amount of drafts saved per user and inconsistency
around behavior of "escape" button.
It also lead to lots of warnings about draft conflicts when copying stuff
between posts.
The code is improved to use promises more appropriately, however further
changes are needed to clean up internals so methods consistently return
promises.
Too many methods in the controller sometimes return a promise and sometimes
an object. Long term the methods will become async and all of this will be
corrected.
Usage:

Note that a button loading without an icon will shrink text size to prevent button to jump in size.
A button while loading is disabled.
The streamlength/height code when true would return just after we had inserted the timeline-controls, resulting, on topic-progress event to display an empty timeline-controls when clicked.
I think this code in unecessary and we should only rely on the code in `hideProgress` which will currenly hide the progress is the stream has only one post displayed on desktop (always shown on mobile).
We have no way of detecting if a browser window is behind another window
or off screen on a virtual desktop.
In some cases we may want events to be delivered quicker to the browser.
Specifically a user may still have a window in view but is not interacting.
This gives users 20 minutes of extra "long polling time" prior to shifting
to short polling.
Even though `type` is an alias for `method`, we have custom logic in `/discourse/lib/ajax` that checks only `type`, and ~200 other ajax calls in the codebase already use `type` param.
Previously we would consider a user "present" and "last seen" if the
browser window was visible.
This has many edge cases, you could be considered present and around for
days just by having a window open and no screensaver on.
Instead we now also check that you either clicked, transitioned around app
or scrolled the page in the last minute in combination with window
visibility
This will lead to more reliable notifications via email and reduce load of
message bus for cases where a user walks away from the terminal

* Implement the resolvedTimezone() function on the user model where we return the user's timezone if it has been set, or we guess it using moment and save it to the user using an update call if it has not yet been set. This covers the cases of users who do not log out/in often who will not get their timezone set via login. This also makes sure the guess + save is done in a non-obtrusive way not on every page -- only when it is needed.
* Before if a user's timezone was blank when they visited their profile page we were autofilling the dropdown with the guessed timezone from moment. However this was confusing as it would appear you have that timezone saved in the DB when you really didn't. Now we do not autofill the dropdown and added a button to automatically guess the current timezone to make everything more explicit.
Limitations: the user profile "open external links in new tab setting" is
slightly broken for "External URL" permalinks.
Remove the copy from the admin permalinks page stating that this doesn't work.
I think this issue is caused by a current regression in ember
https://github.com/emberjs/ember.js/issues/18147
but using `id` works just fine in templates. This also appears to be the
only template file we are using `elementId` directly in the template.

* Because the `userHasTimezone` property was computed and we were checking on an (essentially) global object, ember was not aware that the user timezone had changed because it changed in a different place. instead set the timezone as internal state for the modal on show and base the computed property off of that so it mutates correctly

On some sites when bootstrapping communities it is helpful to bootstrap
with a "light weight" invite code.
Use the site setting `invite_code` to set a global invite code.
In this case the administrator can share the code with
a community which is very easy to remember and then anyone who has
that code can easily register accounts.
People without the invite code are not allowed account registration.
Global invite codes are less secure than indevidual codes, in that they
tend to leak in the community however in some cases when starting a brand
new community the security guarantees of invites are not needed.
Mousetrap 1.4 introduced a generic mod helper which lets you set cross platform shortcuts.
Mousetrap.bind('mod+p', _print);
On Mac this ends up mapping to command+p whereas on Windows and Linux it maps to ctrl+p.
This differs from defining ctrl+p and command+p because both ctrl+p and command+p will trigger print on Mac whereas with the mod helper only command+p will.
Add enable_bookmark_at_desktop_reminders site setting default to false a new hidden site setting to hide the "At Desktop" reminder option so we can restrict this further until it is polished.
For convenience the i18n helper has been made returning a SafeString, but when used with other helpers, a String is expected and will cause unexpected behaviors.
This is the root cause of the initial bug fixed in d2bb127e2c
This commit is kept as it's a better security in case of unexpected behavior.
Adds 3 config values that allow to set a custom provider of Gravatar-like API accessible from gravatar_base_url. The gravatar_name is purely cosmetic, but helps with associating name with the service that actually provides the avatars. gravatar_login_url is a link relative to gravatar_base_url, which provides the user with the login to the Gravatar service
* This PR changes the user activity bookmarks stream to show a new list of bookmarks based on the Bookmark record.
* If a bookmark has a name or reminder it will be shown as metadata above the topic title in the list
* The categories, tags, topic status, and assigned show for each bookmarked post based on the post topic

A custom date and time can now be selected for a bookmark reminder
The reminder will not happen at the exact time but rather at the next 5 minute interval of the bookmark reminder schedule.
This PR also fixes issues with bulk deleting topic bookmarks.
* This PR implements the scheduling and notification system for bookmark reminders. Every 5 minutes a schedule runs to check any reminders that need to be sent before now, limited to **300** reminders at a time. Any leftover reminders will be sent in the next run. This is to avoid having to deal with fickle sidekiq and reminders in the far-flung future, which would necessitate having a background job anyway to clean up any missing `enqueue_at` reminders.
* If a reminder is sent its `reminder_at` time is cleared and the `reminder_last_sent_at` time is filled in. Notifications are only user-level notifications for now.
* All JavaScript and frontend code related to displaying the bookmark reminder notification is contained here. The reminder functionality is now re-enabled in the bookmark modal as well.
* This PR also implements the "Remind me next time I am at my desktop" bookmark reminder functionality. When the user is on a mobile device they are able to select this option. When they choose this option we set a key in Redis saying they have a pending at desktop reminder. The next time they change devices we check if the new device is desktop, and if it is we send reminders using a DistributedMutex. There is also a job to ensure consistency of these reminders in Redis (in case Redis drops the ball) and the at desktop reminders expire after 20 days.
* Also in this PR is a fix to delete all Bookmarks for a user via `UserDestroyer`

scrollTo is not available on IE11 but that shouldn't cause much trouble.
When secure media is enabled and an attachment is marked as secure we want to use the full url instead of the short-url so we get the same access control post protections as secure media uploads.

In IE11, the browser returns the cached HTML response, rather than the JSON formatted response. Adding the `.json` suffix ensures that the cache is not shared. Same root cause as b0211772
This commit also fixes a deprecation warning as the previous component was overriding a computed property from the group model.
Finally a test has been added as this is the only place where we use list-setting outside of the settings, this was highly subject to regressions.

d7d4612b2d removed the duplicate call to initState(). However, we are relying on a side effect of the duplicate call for subfolder sites to function correctly when accessed without a trailing slash. To avoid a large refactor before the stable release, this commit restores the old behavior.

If a group mention could be notified on preview it was given an `<a>`
tag with the `.notify` class. When cooked it would display differently.
This patch makes the server side cooking match the client preview.
Now if a group is visible but unmentionable, users can search for it
when composing by typing with `@`, but it will be rendered without the
grey background color.
It will also no longer pop up a JIT warning saying "You are about to
mention X people" because the group will not be mentioned.
Styling based on element-ids, it is impossible for themes/plugins to display multiple cards on a single page. Using classes is a more flexible approach. The element-ids are maintained for backwards compatibility with existing plugins/themes.
### UI Changes
If `SiteSetting.enable_bookmarks_with_reminders` is enabled:
* Clicking "Bookmark" on a topic will create a new Bookmark record instead of a post + user action
* Clicking "Clear Bookmarks" on a topic will delete all the new Bookmark records on a topic
* The topic bookmark buttons control the post bookmark flags correctly and vice-versa

The `DiscourseLocation.initState` function was accidently renamed in 0431942f (select-kit-2) to `initOptions`. This means that the ember router does not automatically call the function after the router is initialized.
For a long time, we have been calling the `initState` function in the `init` function of discourse-location, which caused an imperceptible URL change to the the root domain, before switching back to the correct subfolder URL when ember called `initState`. This commit removes that call from the initializer, so `initState` is only called once (by ember).

This fixes the issue where if secure media was enabled, audio
and video files would do an initial load using the presigned
URL for the media to get metadata information e.g. duration of
track/video. However this started the expiry countdown for the
URL, so when a user pressed play on the media after 15 seconds
the media would be expired and AWS would return a 403 error.
We do not preload media if secure media is enabled. Otherwise
we just set the preload type to "metadata" which is the browser
default anyway.
* FIX: Properly convert quotes to Markdown
When quoting a quote it used to convert the quote header, including the
user avatar and username, into a image and some text and then the
contents. This also caused issues when quoting full paragraphs (or when
selecting paragraphs by triple-clicking) because the user avatar and
name from the following quote would also be included.
This commit implements the support necessary to convert
<aside class="quote"> elements to proper Discourse quotes.
Commit aa24be1 made it possible to build data attributes from image's
Markdown and this changes ensure that the resize controls still work

Our current algorithm for picking the number of notifications to display
when expanding the notifications relies on magic numbers.
Previously we only allowed for header and an estimate of maximum height of
notification container, this is not ideal as there is padding at the bottom
and top of the notification container
This adds a special number for padding.
The longer term fix though is to render the notification panel off screen
then grab the correct count, finally adding it back into view with.
This would allow for large fonts, small fonts, custom themes and much more.
This reverts commit 7133fd8c89.
Unfortunately performCheckSize may have certain situations in topic
navigation where it is unsafe to call.
We need to add som more safety here prior to merging.
Previously it would go to the "html" page when refreshing on the "css" page, and would open an invalid empty-state page when trying to go to the "email style" tab when already on it.
This also enables`@action` use in plugin connectors.
Setting `actions` earlier allows `setupComponents` to use them, for example, when setting up event listeners.
Those are the same arguments that are passed into `after-d-editor` outlet. This will enable plugins that attach to editor preview to be conditionally enabled, usually only for the composer.
Plugins that will use this: discourse-canned-responses, discourse-zoom.
Previously you'd get a server side generic error due to a password check
failing. Now the input element has a maxlength attribute and the server
side will respond with a nicer error message if the value is too long.

This new iteration of select-kit focuses on following best principales and disallowing mutations inside select-kit components. A best effort has been made to avoid breaking changes, however if you content was a flat array, eg: ["foo", "bar"] You will need to set valueProperty=null and nameProperty=null on the component.
Also almost every component should have an `onChange` handler now to decide what to do with the updated data. **select-kit will not mutate your data by itself anymore**
This fixes a bug which caused '{{#unless var}}' to act the same as
'{{#if true}}' because 'unless' was transforming the conditional value
to 'undefined'.
If using {{#if showFooter}} in a template, showFooter is never set to true on a group's g/groupname/activity/topics route (it's correctly set on other group routes like group-activity-posts)
Adds a new route `/u/{username}/card.json`, which has a reduced number of fields. This change is behind a hidden site setting, so we can test compatibility before rolling out.

For consistency this PR introduces using custom markdown and short upload:// URLs for video and audio uploads, rather than just treating them as links and relying on the oneboxer. The markdown syntax for videos is  and for audio it is .
This is achieved in discourse-markdown-it by modifying the rules for images in mardown-it via md.renderer.rules.image. We return HTML instead of the token when we encounter audio or video after | and the preview renders that HTML. Also when uploading an audio or video file we insert the relevant markdown into the composer.
Let's say post #2 quotes post number #1. If a user decides to quote the
quote in post #2, it should keep the information of post #1
("user_1, post: 1, topic: X"), instead of replacing with current post
info ("user_2, post: 2, topic: X").

This breaking change was originally a deprecation fix for overriding a computed property `none`.
There are 4 uses of `rootNone` in core and "all-the-plugins":
1. in discourse-chat-integration, admin-plugins-chat-edit-rule.hbs - changed behavior, that I'd consider a fix - `rootNoneLabel` is now used regardless of `siteSettings.allow_uncategorized_topics` value, which I believe was an originally intended behavior (i.e. it most likely hasn't been tested with disabled uncategorized topics)
2. in discourse-slack-official, plugins-slack.hbs - the same as 1.
3. in core, edit-category-general.hbs (in this PR) - no change in behavior
4. in discourse-googlebooks, edit-category-general.hbs - no change in behavior (since `allowUncategorized="true"` is also passed as an argument)
* when we dragged the topic-timeline handle past the last post
in a topic we were not closing the timeline as we would if
scrolling to a specific post
* this also fixes the issue where when scrolling past the end of
the topic with a massive last post, none of the post could be
seen
### General Changes and Duplication
* We now consider a post `with_secure_media?` if it is in a read-restricted category.
* When uploading we now set an upload's secure status straight away.
* When uploading if `SiteSetting.secure_media` is enabled, we do not check to see if the upload already exists using the `sha1` digest of the upload. The `sha1` column of the upload is filled with a `SecureRandom.hex(20)` value which is the same length as `Upload::SHA1_LENGTH`. The `original_sha1` column is filled with the _real_ sha1 digest of the file.
* Whether an upload `should_be_secure?` is now determined by whether the `access_control_post` is `with_secure_media?` (if there is no access control post then we leave the secure status as is).
* When serializing the upload, we now cook the URL if the upload is secure. This is so it shows up correctly in the composer preview, because we set secure status on upload.
### Viewing Secure Media
* The secure-media-upload URL will take the post that the upload is attached to into account via `Guardian.can_see?` for access permissions
* If there is no `access_control_post` then we just deliver the media. This should be a rare occurrance and shouldn't cause issues as the `access_control_post` is set when `link_post_uploads` is called via `CookedPostProcessor`
### Removed
We no longer do any of these because we do not reuse uploads by sha1 if secure media is enabled.
* We no longer have a way to prevent cross-posting of a secure upload from a private context to a public context.
* We no longer have to set `secure: false` for uploads when uploading for a theme component.

43ddf60cdf introduced a new method for dismissing new topics in topic-tracking-state, which works on a per-category basis.
This commit removes the old mechanism, which was to delete all 'new' topics from the local tracking state, regardless of category.
Page used to jitter when oneboxes loaded images lazily.
Previously we inserted the the "shadow" loading image before the "real" image.
This meant that certain styling with `firstChild` CSS selectors would apply
incorrectly to the shadow image.
Additionally we had special case code for onebox and quoted images that was
not really needed due to this fix.
We had an old fix that used computed style for image height and width in
specific scenarios, we now run it all the time.
On slow devices there was a possibility that the cache fetch after amending
src at the end of the process would cause a flash, this is avoided using a
new onload handler.
Plugins like https://github.com/discourse/discourse-calendar add extra HTML (e.g. icons) to user/group mentions. Clicking on those extra elements used to only flash a blank card. Now, the card opens properly.

`highlight` was called from `didInsertElement` which technically doesn't ensure the list is rendered. By wrapping the highlighting code in `afterRender` we ensure it works more consistently.
Our current topic admin menu is not always fully visible on a mobile
device, therefore some options are difficult to click.
To solve this issue, we can display the admin menu on the bottom of the
screen on mobile devices.
- Ensure that the 'notify_moderators' flag is always the last flag when using custom flags.
- Support passign a custom FlagSettings object when replacing flags to reuse existing ones.

* FIX: category routes model params should decode their URL parts
Ember's route star globbing does not uri decode by default. This is
problematic for subcategory globs with encoded URL site settings enabled.
Subcategories with encoded URLs will 404 without this decode.
I found this https://github.com/tildeio/route-recognizer/pull/91
which explicitly explains that globbing does not decode automatically.
This was re-encoding the search slug each loop - if the category list was not
the first category in the list, it'd continually search with a re-encoded search
term from the previous iteration. This results in ember 404ing when navigating
to raw encoded category slugs of the form /c/encoded-slug-with-non-ascii
that have no ID attached.
This commit fe9293b8b5 created a regression.
The problem is that dom changed a little bit.

The maximum level used to be one, which meant that a category could be
either a parent or a child. If it was a parent, the subcategories were
shown; if it was a child then the parent selector was shown.
With multiple levels of nesting, a category can be both a parent and a
child.
There is a problem that if you read all messages, even when a new one
arrives, the button on the top is not showing.
This is because once the button got `hidden` class, a label under is
properly updated, however, the class is not removed.
Therefore, I added computed isHidden function which is recalculated when
`count` change.

Originally I was going to continue to use the existing
topic-status-icons arrayProxy helper but this would require using
observers, so I opted instead to use computed properties and have a bit
larger hbs template.
Adds a custom bookmark-clock icon to discourse-additional.svg for use with the new bookmarks with reminder functionality.
Also add some code to correctly refresh the post-stream icon for bookmark to show the clock after save.
The trouble with having:
/tags/:tag_id/...
and:
/tags/intersection/*tag_ids
for example, is: what happens if you want a tag called intersection?
Under this new scheme. Routes referring to a single tag are unambiguous
because they are prefixed with:
/tag/:tag_id
Routes referring to the collection of tags still start with:
/tags/
This commit just adds the new routes. It doesn't remove the old ones or
cause the new ones to be used.

This commit affects the display of some of the unread, new, and unseen
badges in topic lists like when then "show subcategory list above topics
in this category" option is checked.
API keys are now only visible when first created. After that, only the first four characters are stored in the database for identification, along with an sha256 hash of the full key. This makes key usage easier to audit, and ensures attackers would not have access to the live site in the event of a database leak.
This makes the merge lower risk, because we have some time to revert if needed. Once the change is confirmed to be working, we will add a second commit to drop the `key` column.
Hide old bookmark post-menu item if the site setting for the new bookmark reminders is enabled and change icon for the new bookmark functionality to the same as the old bookmark button

This is part 1 of the bookmark improvements. The next PR will address the backend logic to send reminder notifications for bookmarked posts to users. This PR adds the following functionality:
* We are adding a new `bookmarks` table and `Bookmark` model to make the bookmarks a first-class citizen and to allow attaching reminders to them.
* Posts now have a new button in their actions menu that has the icon of an actual book
* Clicking the button opens the new bookmark modal.
* Both name and the reminder type are optional.
* If you close the modal without doing anything, the bookmark is saved with no reminder.
* If you click the Cancel button, no bookmark is saved at all.
* All of the reminder type tiles are dynamic and the times they show will be based on your user timezone set in your profile (this should already be set for you).
* If for some reason a user does not have their timezone set they will not be able to set a reminder, but they will still be able to create a bookmark.
* A bookmark can be deleted by clicking on the book icon again which will be red if the post is bookmarked.
This PR does NOT do anything to migrate or change existing bookmarks in the form of `PostActions`, the two features live side-by-side here. Also this does nothing to the topic bookmarking.
But the "synonyms" can't use the TagSerializer yet. We still have some
code from the discourse-tagging plugin that uses "text" instead of
"name", "count" instead of "topic_count", etc. We should make the js
consistent with the TagSerializer and then stop using tag_counts_json.
Ember was throwing this error preventing the reorder categories feature
from working:

There are 3 possible settings which site admin can set.
remove_muted_tags_from_latest - always
It means that if the topic got at least one muted tag, we should not mark that topic as NEW
remove_muted_tags_from_latest - only muted
Similar to above, however, if at least one tag is not muted, the topic is marked as NEW
remove_muted_tags_from_latest - never
Basically, mute tag setting is ignored and all topics are set as NEW

When a component is installed and not assigned to any theme and the user is changing page, we should display a warning.
If the user decides to skip warning or come back later, a warning should not be shown anymore.
Also, when the user clicks "delete" button right after installation, warning about forgotten themes should not be shown.
Fixes an issue where updates to the first post in a topic would be visible only for staff.
Before, because the empty tag would find its way to `PostRevisor`, `TopicsController#update` would create a hidden revision, and later `PostsController#update` would only update that revision.
After this change, `TopicsController` doesn't create a revision at all (unless necessary), so `PostsController` can create it (and correctly decide whether the revision should be hidden or not).

When uploading an image file with dots in the filename we were splitting the string on dots and getting the last of the split items as the extension-less filename. However this did not work with filenames that have dots. We now just remove the extension using substr.

This commit affects the display of translated counts that is used in
multiple places like showing how many posts are selected using the
select posts feature on a topic. It is just a refactor and does not
change any functionality.
This feature adds the ability to define synonyms for tags, and the ability to merge one tag into another while keeping it as a synonym. For example, tags named "js" and "java-script" can be synonyms of "javascript". When searching and creating topics using synonyms, they will be mapped to the base tag.
Along with this change is a new UI found on each tag's page (for example, `/tags/javascript`) where more information about the tag can be shown. It will list the synonyms, which categories it's restricted to (if any), and which tag groups it belongs to (if tag group names are public on the `/tags` page by enabling the "tags listed by group" setting). Staff users will be able to manage tags in this UI, merge tags, and add/remove synonyms.

This commit affects the display of the Webhooks Deliver Status column. It
is just a refactor and does not change any functionality.
The tag-drop component uses the passed in categories to calculate paths,
but only the last category is relevant, since, from a category we can
calculate its ancestors.
* Support for custom messages and redirects when creating posts
When a post/topic is created Discourse serializes a `NewPostResult`
object. Normally this contains a status like `created_post` or
errors describing why the post could not be created.
There are times when a plugin might want to take the inputted post
and do something in the background. In this case, the plugin
can return a custom `message` and `route_to` attribute in the
`NewPostResult`.
If present, the message will be displayed in an alert, and when "Ok" is
clicked the user will be routed to the new URL.

The idea here is that when a new component is added, the user can easily assign it to all themes (parents).
To achieve that, I needed to change a site-setting component to accept `setDefaultValues` action and `setDefaultValuesLabel` translated label.
Also, I needed to add `allowAny` option to disable that for theme selector.
I also refactored backend to accept both parent and child ids with one method to avoid duplication (Renamed `add_child_theme!` to more general `add_relative_theme!`)

I could not replicate the failure locally, but it was consistently
failing on CI with:

This commit removes an extra space that was added originally, but I
don't think it is really needed after double checking how it displays in
the UI. The `x` icon and the word have sufficient spacing between them.
If we need to we can tweak it in css instead.

This commit fixes this failing test:

Now that we have a handlebars template we can us it for escaping because
it does that for us.

This commit affects the display of watched words on the admin watched
word page. It is just a refactor and does not change any functionality.
This affects login_required sites which use SSO or have only one authenticator enabled. Previously, logging out would redirect to the homepage, which would then redirect to the identity provider. Now, users will be redirected to the Discourse login page. This avoids the confusing situation where a user appears to remain logged in after clicking logout.
Sites which have explicitly defined a logout_redirect url are not affected by this change.

It is just a refactor and should not change any functionality.
This commit corresponds to d84c34ad which applies the same changes to
the server-side. This changes the category routes, except for the routes
that contain tags.
This amends our API so we provide it with the draft key when saving a post
this means post creator can clean up the draft consistently even if we are
doing fancy stuff like replying to a new topic or new pm or whatever.
There will be some followup work to clean it up so client never calls destroy
on draft during normal operation and the #create/#update endpoints takes care of it
every time

This commit affects the header sorting on the group member and the group
requests pages. It is a refactor only with no change in functionality.
When we receive a list of categories, we should store them so that we
are able to query them in the browser without a page refresh.
This removes a previous fix for the same issue that was much less
general.
This commit attempts to fix two issues that affect quoted images.
The first issue is observed while loading. The 'position: absolute' CSS
property makes 'width' and 'height' behave differently. Instead of using
the known image size, this makes it use the computed width and height of
the image, which should be the right size, as shown to the user.
The second issue is caused by 'object-fit: cover' property which trimmed
the left and right sides of wide pictures to make them fit inside the
quote.

We were ending up with [file%20name](url) in the markdown preview, which looked weird and
affected the alt text. this is because we were calling encodeURIComponent, which has been left in place because this is a valid thing to do for some cases. (e.g. f674b9e)

When category is dismissed, `dismiss_new` message is sent to fronted to clean state.
In addition, I noticed that when old dismiss new button is clicked, no message is sent so I decided to kill two birds with one stone.
The plan is to switch over all cases where filterMode is set, but, to
prevent breaking plugins and themes, the category and noSubcategories
need to be inferred from any given filterMode before that can happen.
The group card and group members page were affecting each other and were
leaking members list and the query parameters which led to bad UX
experience and sub-optimal performance (client made more queries because
it was loading fewer members).
This commit refactors the group model to make it more consistent, remove
dead code, move error handling outside of model.
isPrivateMessages represents that the tag list is shown in the context
of private messages and pmOnly represents that the tag is used only in
private messages.
This PR introduces a new secure media setting. When enabled, it prevent unathorized access to media uploads (files of type image, video and audio). When the `login_required` setting is enabled, then all media uploads will be protected from unauthorized (anonymous) access. When `login_required`is disabled, only media in private messages will be protected from unauthorized access.
A few notes:
- the `prevent_anons_from_downloading_files` setting no longer applies to audio and video uploads
- the `secure_media` setting can only be enabled if S3 uploads are already enabled and configured
- upload records have a new column, `secure`, which is a boolean `true/false` of the upload's secure status
- when creating a public post with an upload that has already been uploaded and is marked as secure, the post creator will raise an error
- when enabling or disabling the setting on a site with existing uploads, the rake task `uploads:ensure_correct_acl` should be used to update all uploads' secure status and their ACL on S3
Disables jumping to bottom of the page (added in 87f0b56) for mobile devices.
Fixes a regression with the mobile jump tool, and avoids users having to scroll up lots on mobile, since suggested topics and site footers can be lengthy.
* When viewing a tag, the search widget will now show a checkbox to scope the search by tag, which will limit search results to that tag on desktop and mobile
According to eviltrout, commas and pipes were the delimiters of a
Discourse specific microformat, but this is no longer the case and
hasn't been for some time.
Code should decide when to do something with the event value, and maybe cause a re-rerender but it shouldn't be automatic. This is currently a gigantic waste of resources.
If there is any other whitespace in the container, then Firefox will add a leading/trailing space when double clicking the key. This commit wraps the key in a div with no whitespace, to work around the problem.

parseInt was used here to convert decimals to ints
Instead of enabling `suppress_from_latest` setting on many categories now we can enable `mute_all_categories_by_default` site setting. Then users should opt-in to categories for them to appear in the latest and categories pages.
- Allow revoking keys without deleting them
- Auto-revoke keys after a period of no use (default 6 months)
- Allow multiple keys per user
- Allow attaching a description to each key, for easier auditing
- Log changes to keys in the staff action log

Previously we could not place extra nav items in a particular order.
This change introduces a new `before` attribute to addNavigationBarItem
with this attribute we can place a nav item before "top" or any other place.
Additionally this allows navigation items to force active state. In some
cases we may want an items that is simply a "filter" on latest using `?query_params`
when we do that we can "force" the filter active.
A concrete example is the assign plugin that adds a nav item for
Unassigned => `/c/cat-slug/l/latest?assigned=nobody&status=open`
If we did not force then latest would be selected even though the filter
is clicked.
In a category's settings, the Tags tab has two new fields to
specify the number of tags that must be added to a topic
from a tag group. When creating a new topic, an error will be
shown to the user if the requirement isn't met.

This is a major change to draft internals. Previously there were quite a
few cases where the draft system would say "draft saved", when in fact
we just skipped saving.
This commit ensures the draft system deals with draft ownership handover in
a predictable way.
For example:
- Window 1 editing draft
- Window 2 editing same draft at the same time
Previously we would allow window 1 and 2 to just fight on the same draft
each window overwriting the same draft over an over.
This commit introduces an ownership concept where either window 1 or 2 win
and user is prompted on the loser window to reload screen to correct the issue
This also corrects edge cases where a user could have multiple browser windows
open and posts in 1 window, later to post in the second window. Previously
drafts would break in the second window, this corrects it.

Anonymous users are only possible if allow_anonymous_posting is true,
which means that 'user.is_anonymous' check implies that
allow_anonymous_posting is true.
The server already ensures it advances draft keys when a post is created
this means this code that used to delete drafts is simply introducing
composer delays with no benefit.
Defer placing scale buttons causes "scale image" buttons to be missing if
you manage to scroll mouse to the area where the image is prior to image
rendering.
This fix ensures scale buttons are always rendered leaving all the hiding
and styling entirely to CSS.
This also corrects a bug where scaling toolbar was missing on mobile
