This commit introduces a new plugin API to register
a group of stats that will be included in about.json
and also conditionally in the site about UI at /about.
The usage is like this:

In reality the stats will be generated any way the implementer
chooses within the plugin. The `last_day`, `7_days`, `30_days,` and `count`
keys must be present but apart from that additional stats may be added.
Only those core 4 stat keys will be shown in the UI, but everything will be shown
in about.json.
The stat group name is used to prefix the stats in about.json like so:

The `show_in_ui` option (default false) is used to determine whether the
group of stats is shown on the site About page in the Site Statistics
table. Some stats may be needed purely for reporting purposes and thus
do not need to be shown in the UI to admins/users. An extension to the Site
serializer, `displayed_about_plugin_stat_groups`, has been added so this
can be inspected on the client-side.
This commit seeks to only handle the `f=tracked` and `filter=tracked`
query params for a topic list. There are other "hidden" filters for a
topic list which can be activated by passing the right query param to
the request. However, they are hidden because there is no way to
activate those filters via the UI. We are handling the `f=tracked`
filter because we will soon be adding a link that allows a user to
quickly view their tracked topics.
The commit fcc2e7ebbf to promote
polymorphic bookmarks did not correctly set the username for
the quick access bookmark menu based on the new serializer
values, so the username is not being shown in the bookmark
quick access menu. This commit fixes it, and also adds additional
tests for that menu and updates the user fixtures to reflect
the current state of the bookmarks endpoint.
This commit migrates all bookmarks to be polymorphic (using the
bookmarkable_id and bookmarkable_type) columns. It also deletes
all the old code guarded behind the use_polymorphic_bookmarks setting
and changes that setting to true for all sites and by default for
the sake of plugins.
No data is deleted in the migrations, the old post_id and for_topic
columns for bookmarks will be dropped later on.
Categories that had a CategoryUser record and the notification level
set to "Normal" were not selectable in any of the "Watched", "Tracked",
"Watching First Post" or "Muted" inputs. This happened because the
category seemed to be already selected in the "Normal" input, but that
does not exist (it is the default value if category is not present in
any of the other inputs).
There was an edge when a user re-quoted a nested quote that it would return an incorrect `full name` but the correct `username` for the original quote. This PR updates the logic to fall back to using the OP user's username.
The complexity of the changes required to allow for full names to be displayed on nested quotes far outweighs how rare quoting nested quotes is.
This PR will include `suspended` attribute in post serializer to check it in post widget and add a CSS class name.

Previously we only supported a single 'required tag group' for a category. This commit allows admins to specify multiple required tag groups, each with their own minimum tag count.
A new category_required_tag_groups database table replaces the existing columns on the categories table. Data is automatically migrated.
This is done by defining a `/all` route for use when a category's default filter is 'none'. This was defined for regular category routes in 3e7f7fdd, but not for tag routes.
This commit also corrects the route name TagsShowNoneCategory*Route -> TagsShowCategoryNone*Route, which fixes an error when setting subcategories=none while filtering by tags.
As part of /t/10298, try to remove the first flaky test in the list.
One finding is that the /t/280 topic has a very long post stream, so that may have caused some delay when rendering the topic. One way is to wait for the first expected element to load, but that doesn't scale well given how many waits we will need to add. So I chose to render a shorter topic instead.
This commit introduces scheduled problem checks for the admin dashboard, which are long running or otherwise cumbersome problem checks that will be run every 10 minutes rather than every time the dashboard is loaded. If these scheduled checks add a problem, the problem will remain until it is cleared or until the scheduled job runs again.
An example of a check that should be scheduled is validating credentials against an external provider.
This commit also introduces the concept of a `priority` to the problems generated by `AdminDashboardData` and the scheduled checks. This is `low` by default, and can be set to `high`, but this commit does not change any part of the UI with this information, only adds a CSS class.
I will be making a follow up PR to check group SMTP credentials.
Currently when a user creates posts that are moderated (for whatever
reason), a popup is displayed saying the post needs approval and the
total number of the user’s pending posts. But then this piece of
information is kind of lost and there is nowhere for the user to know
what are their pending posts or how many there are.
This patch solves this issue by adding a new “Pending” section to the
user’s activity page when there are some pending posts to display. When
there are none, then the “Pending” section isn’t displayed at all.

If a topic belongs to a category that is not readable by everyone, display a text warning of "Only visible to members of groups: [group_a], [group_b]"

It allows saving local date to calendar.
Modal is giving option to pick between ics and google. User choice can be remembered as a default for the next actions.
Allows creating a bookmark with the `for_topic` flag introduced in d1d2298a4c set to true. This happens when clicking on the Bookmark button in the topic footer when no other posts are bookmarked. In a later PR, when clicking on these topic-level bookmarks the user will be taken to the last unread post in the topic, not the OP. Only the OP can have a topic level bookmark, and users can also make a post-level bookmark on the OP of the topic.
I had to do some pretty heavy refactors because most of the bookmark code in the JS topics controller was centred around instances of Post JS models, but the topic level bookmark is not centred around a post. Some refactors were just for readability as well.

The previous excerpt was a simple truncated raw message. Starting with
this commit, the raw content of the draft is cooked and an excerpt is
extracted from it. The logic for extracting the excerpt mimics the the
`ExcerptParser` class, but does not implement all functionality, being
a much simpler implementation.
The two draft controllers have been merged into one and the /draft.json
route has been changed to /drafts.json to be consistent with the other
route names.
In the group interaction UI, if the default_notification_level for
a group was set to 0 (muted) it incorrectly showed as Watching in
the UI because of the ember or() helper, using JS comparison, considered
0 to be a falsey value and always showed 3 (watching) instead.
Currently when a user clicks on an edit notification, we use `appEvents` to
notify the topics controller that it should open up the history modal for the
edited post and the appEvents callback opens up the history modal in the next
Ember runloop (by scheduling an `afterRender` callback).
There are 2 problems with this implementation:
1) the callbacks are fired/executed too early and if the post has never been
loaded from the server (i.e. not in cache), we will not get a modal history
because the method that shows the modal `return`s if it can't find the post:

2) when clicking an edit notification from a non-topic page, you're redirected
to the topic page that contains the edited post and you'll see the history
modal briefly and it'll be closed immediately. The reason for this is because
we attempt to show the history modal before the route transition finishes
completely, and we have cleanup code in `initializers/page-tracking.js` that's
called after every transition and it does several things one of which is
closing any open modals.
The fix in this commit defers showing the history modal until posts are loaded
(whether fresh or cached). It works by storing some bits of information (topic
id, post number, revision number) whenever the user clicks on an edit
notification, and when the user is redirected to the topic (or scrolled to the
edited post if they're already in the topic), the post stream model checks if
we have stored information of an edit notification and requests the history
modal to be shown by the topics controller.
Configuring staged users to watch categories and tags is a way to sign
them up to get many emails. These emails may be unwanted and get marked
as spam, hurting the site's email deliverability.
Users can opt-in to email notifications by logging on to their
account and configuring their own preferences.
If staff need to be able to configure these preferences on behalf of
staged users, the "allow changing staged user tracking" site setting
can be enabled. Default is to not allow it.

Currently when bulk-awarding a badge that can be granted multiple times, users in the CSV file are granted the badge once no matter how many times they're listed in the file and only if they don't have the badge already.
This PR adds a new option to the Badge Bulk Award feature so that it's possible to grant users a badge even if they already have the badge and as many times as they appear in the CSV file.
User flair was given by user's primary group. This PR separates the
two, adds a new field to the user model for flair group ID and users
can select their flair from user preferences now.
And also move all the "top topics by period" routes to query string param.

The generated regular expressions did not contain \b which matched
every text that contained the word, even if it was only a substring of
a word.
For example, if "art" was a watched word a post containing word
"artist" matched.
* FIX: Quoting Oneboxed content should exclude formatting
When a post is quoted that includes Oneboxed content, we should not include the formatting generated by the Onebox. Rather, we should attempt to collapse the link referenced by the Onebox to a single line text link.

If we don't escape periods, they are interpreted as wildcards and it
becomes impossible to visit profiles of other users whose usernames
match. E.g., if your username was `a.c` and attempted to visit `abc`'s
profile, you would be incorrectly redirected to your own profile.
