DEV: Fix function prototype deprecations (#8681) 
* DEV: Fix the function prototype observers deprecation

DEPRECATION: Function prototype extensions have been deprecated, please migrate from function(){}.observes('foo') to observer('foo', function() {}). - new "show-footer" mixins
